Community Updates: Gamer Night Recap & ALGS Advances to Regional Finals

Pioneers fans,
July has started off strong for the Pioneers. We had a successful Gamer Night at Kauffman Stadium by partnering with the Royals. On the esports side, our teams have excelled in their respective competitions. Below are the Pioneers' recent highlights since the last newsletter:

Gamer Night at Kauffman Stadium Recap

Gamer Night at Kauffman Stadium on June 27 was a fantastic evening for both gamers and baseball fans alike. The event, in partnership with the Kansas City Royals, offered a unique blend of sports and gaming entertainment. Attendees who purchased a themed ticket received a limited-edition gamer hat, a must-have collector's item for any true fan.

The evening kicked off with an exciting first pitch thrown by Cooper Beebe, offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, to Pioneers Co-Founder LJ Browne, setting the tone for a memorable night. Fans had the opportunity to meet their favorite Pioneers Content Creators during an autograph session. N1CKRICH, RonDo, and MrMasterWong participated in the hot dog derby, with N1CKRICH showcasing his competitive spirit and taking 1st place for the second year in a row, much to the crowd's delight.

Adding to the fun, the right field outfield experience featured a Gaming Lounge where fans could immerse themselves in a variety of gaming activities. The night culminated with the Royals securing a 2-1 victory against the Guardians, adding to the overall excitement of the event.

The evening was a success, celebrating the intersection of traditional sports and esports. The Pioneers look forward to a continued partnership with the Royals and more opportunities to bring these two worlds together for unforgettable experiences.

Pioneers Advance to Regional Final in ALGS Split 2 Pro League

The Pioneers continued to showcase their exceptional talent and determination in the Apex Legends Global Series 2024 Split 2 Pro League North America Round 3 on July 6. Competing against Group C, the Pioneers secured an impressive 2nd place finish, solidifying their reputation as a top-tier team.

Out of the 30 teams participating in the league, the Pioneers achieved a cumulative rank of 8th place, earning them a spot in the top 20 teams advancing to the Regional Final. This event will be held on Sunday, July 14, at 5:00 pm CST.

Pioneers Secure Spot in Brawl Stars July Monthly Finals

On July 6, the Pioneers Brawl Stars team competed in the July North America Monthly Qualifier, demonstrating their exceptional skills and teamwork once again. The team started strong in the upper bracket, defeating Bad Boys 2-1 in a thrilling match. They then faced CT Esports, securing a decisive 2-0 victory.

With these impressive wins, the Pioneers have qualified for the July Monthly Finals, set to take place on July 21. This achievement is a testament to the team's hard work and dedication. With this month's performance, the team earned a spot at the Last Chance Qualifier at the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre in Germany between August 24-25. The team also has the potential to secure an automatic bid to Worlds at this month's Monthly Finals.

iRacing x Chicago Street Course 

Wyatt Tinsley and Graham Bowlin, the Pioneers eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series drivers, placed 19th and 7th on July 2 at the virtual Chicago Street Course. So far, Tinsley is ranked 18th, and Bowlin is ranked 11th among the top 40 iRacing drivers in this season's competition. Their combined rank puts the Pioneers in 9th place of the 20 teams competing this season.
